Why Our Move in Winter Haven Makes Estate Planning Even More Accessible

“Don’t move your office,” they said. “It’ll make you look unstable!” they warned.

We’ve heard it all. But here’s the truth: moving our office wasn’t just a practical decision: it was a strategic one, made with our Winter Haven estate planning and probate clients in mind.

When I first opened my practice back in 2012, we started in a tiny room tucked inside another attorney’s office in Downtown Winter Haven. (Fun fact: I think Gourmet Goodies is in that space now… so yes, it’s definitely more fun.) Over time, we expanded to two rooms on 1st Street, then to a bigger space on Central Avenue, and eventually we landed on Avenue K.

But here’s the thing: the way people work, and the way legal services are delivered, has changed. Drastically. Especially after COVID, we saw weeks go by where my wonderful receptionist was the only person in our 1,000-square-foot office. It didn’t make sense to keep the overhead of a traditional office setup, especially when most of our estate planning and probate clients preferred virtual consultations or minimal in-person meetings.

So in 2025, we made the move again, this time to a smaller, more efficient office at 99 6th Street in Winter Haven. (You can’t miss the big “99” on the front if you’re driving along US-17!)

Why This Move Matters for Our Winter Haven Clients

More flexibility.
Less square footage doesn’t mean less service. In fact, it means we’re more adaptable. Our leaner setup allows us to meet clients where they are, online, by phone, or in person, while maintaining the same level of legal care and attention.

Better pricing.
By lowering our overhead, we’ve been able to keep our legal fees reasonable… even as prices for gas, groceries, and yes, even my dog’s fancy refrigerated meals have gone up.

More accessible location.
Whether you know the building as “the old AAA office” or just tell your GPS “by the Popeye’s,” our new spot keeps us centrally located and easy to find for clients throughout Winter Haven, Polk County, and surrounding areas.
